New Interstitial page design and educational content update
Align all funds in educational interstitial page design consistent for all countries and platforms.
When customer lands on SMO journey showed educational content for funds inconsistently across countries and platforms, with some markets still using outdated information since the launch. I standardized the interstitial design and refreshed content to create a clear, consistent, and unified experience for all customers.
Markets: US, GB, UK, France, Germany, Italy, US, Mexico & etc.
Western Union is a global leader in cross-border, cross-currency money transfer services. Through its digital channels, Western Union helps people and businesses move money to more than 500,000 agent locations in over 200 countries and territories, and in more than 130+ currencies.
Inconsistent interstitial designs and outdated educational content across R3 markets created a fragmented experience for users selecting funding methods.
Standardized the interstitial design and refreshed localized content to create a consistent, user-friendly experience across all R3 markets.
When users land on Western Union app fund-in page, it shows square tiles of payment methods that are available to fund the money transfer. The educational information shown for each fund-in method is outdated and is not standardized. This results in a visually inconsistent and a potentially confusing user experience.
The design team have produced 3 designs options for funding transaction via G-Pay as an example.
The objective of this research is to determine which of the 3 designs users like most and why.
Three design variations were tested to evaluate how different instruction layouts, visual cues, and themes influence user understanding and task completion when paying with Google Pay, Trustly, Klarna, Faster Payments, iDEAL and etc.
Consumers appreciate its clarity, user friendly and intuitive layout and visual appeal Consequently, they feel the instructions are clear and easy to understand. Further, this design is seen as modern, simple, and is effective in conveying information clearly and intuitively.
Design option 2 is also well received by consumers and is rated similar to design Option 1 on all individual KPIs. It is seen as clear, concise, and visually appealing. However, some consumers felt that layout is cluttered, making it difficult to read the information.
Consumers prefer Option 1 over the other options because of its clarity, user-friendly, and visual appeal. Consumers appreciate the layout, spacing, and use of icons, which contribute to an easier understanding of the instructions. The design is seen as modern, simple, and effective in conveying information clearly and intuitively
